Great food! Shrimp Tacos, Fish Tacos, and the Snapper Milanese are my favorites. Solid friendly staff. Not a fancy place and I usually sit at the bar or take-away. Open until 9pm on Thursday's which is perfect because the Jitney drops you off nearby. :)

What a great place. Went only based in other yelp reviews and it was so much better than I expected. The food was excellent, based on the prices I didn't expect the food to be as great as it was. The service was beyond exceptional!! The waitress we had, Sue, which I found out from the regulars sitting next to us was awesome. She took such good care of us, and was spot on with her recommendations! We don't live that close but go out east often so we will definitely add The Crazy Fork to our frequent stops!! So happy we stumbled upon it!!!

My wife and I were visiting from Philadelphia and had dinner here last night. We were looking for good fresh seafood and were not disappointed. We were also pleasantly surprised with such an extensive beer and wine list. There is also a Happy Hour and you don't have to sit at the bar to indulge. Our waitress, Tanya, was very friendly and helpful. She explained the fresh fish specials and let us sample one of the draught beers. I had steamers and rare yellowfin tuna and my wife had caprese saladand fried shrimp. Everything was super delicious. I was never served so many steamers in one bowl. My wife loves caprese and it was one of the best she ever had.Even though the facility is small and busy we were not rushed. Our entrees were equally delicious. My tuna came with rice, vegetables, and my favorite, seaweed salad. The fried shrimp with french fries was also great. This is one of the best seafood restaurants we have eaten in and will return next year on our yearly visit to the area.BTW I almost forgot to mention the very reasonable prices . I don't think any entree was over $20.

I've only been here twice because I'm out east only during the summer but after the two times I've been here; it's safe to say I love this place. The fish tacos are fantastic and the fried calamari is a bit spicy but I enjoy the kick. Highly recommend hitting up this place if you have the time.

This is the kind of place the North Fork needs. A simple place where the focus is on seafood. Sit at the bar and have a bowl of gumbo- fish tacos- or mussels Nothing fancy, just good seafood and cold beer, very casual setting

The buffalo shrimp appetizer was delicious , plenty of blue cheese on the side. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips; I had the blackened tuna special with horse radish cream sauce. Fish was cooked perfectly.if you want good fish in a casual atmosphere ( paper plates , plastic knives and forks) this is the place!

From the mango salsa fish tacos and shrimp tacos to the mildly blackened/spicy salmon cakes, all has been spot-on for flavor. The New England Clam chowder is just about the best I've ever tasted. Small yet nice selection of micro-brew beer. Nice relaxed atmosphere also with bar seating... Crazy Fork is now a staple..

The crazy fork is a great place to get an easy, well prepared, delicious meal. The food is top notch and the flavors are out of this world. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. To the reviewer that gave it one star because they wouldn't let you stay with your Dog..... I suggest you think about how rude and unsanitary it is to bring your dog to a public establishment that serves food!!! Quite honestly, I think it's rude to bring a dog to virtually any public place except for a park. Especially when you can't control your dog properly and it bothers people that may not be dog lovers themselves. I certainly hope people who are looking to yelp for guidance on where to eat will see right through this woman's self centered, review based nothing on the restaurant, and simply based on the managements following the law!!

We wanted to try this restaurant because it was new to the area, so one day when we were out and about with our dog, we decided to try it. We have been allowed to sit outside for lunch with our small, quiet, and very well behaved dog at a few places, so we thought we'd ask if it was okay. My husband asked, and was told we could. No sooner did I get out of the car with the dog, when the waiter dropped and broke a bottle of hot sauce on the ground near the outside tables. No matter, we found a table that was not close to the mess. We waited for quite a while, the waiter did not give us menus or take drink order, nor did he clean the mess, but he did comment on how badly it smelled, then proceeded to ignore it. After what seemed like a long while, a waitress came out and seemed surprised that we hadn't any menus or drinks, and she took our drink order. Five minutes later, the waiter came back and said "we sort of have a problem". It seems that the manager doesn't allow dogs outside there, but there was a ratty looking table behind the restaurant that we could use. We just graciously picked up and left, went down the road to a beautiful, much classier place-A Touch of Venice, where we had an excellent lunch, and our dog was welcome to sit outside. This place needs to learn how to treat customers. If their food is good, I will never know, neither will my friends, because I will inform them that the customer service here is atrocious.

This new little seafood joint opened up in what used to be an antique deli. The lobster logo boasts fresh seafood but the German style specials on the menu are very popular. A caulk board lists scores of domestic and imported beers and local wines as well as the yummy homemade freshly prepared dinner specials. I started with hot lobster bisque with large chunks of lobster tail enveloped in a rich creamy brine- fabulous! We sampled blue fish prepared with horseradish sauce, and stuffed flounder served with roasted butternut squash. The freshly caught fish was light, flaky and wonderful. A side of potato pancakes with apple sauce and creme fresh was tasty. House made key lime pie and a slice of ricotta creme cake with caramelized sugar drizzled on top was beyond satisfying. Every item including the desserts are made by one chef who sweetly greeted every table tonight for a personal review. The charming waitress made a fresh pot of decaf for us perfecting the end of the meal. Remember this welcoming stop while traveling home to Long Island from the Orient Point Ferry!

What a nice place! We stopped by after picking up some wines from the local vineyards. The waitress was so nice and brought water out for our dog. The Pork Po' Boy was incredible with bits of the bark from the smoked butt and fresh cole slaw on a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The Lobster Roll was super fresh and meaty with chucks of lobster. They both come with a heap of addicting French fries. Thank you ladies for a lovely lunch, we'll be back!

We had dinner here on father's day and it was not the greatest. The staff was friendly, but the food was not good. My kids ordered a grilled cheese and fish & chips. The grilled cheese was fine, the fish and chips was undercooked and soggy. My wife got a bowl of clam chowder, the bowl was the tiniest little thing and it tasted like it was out of a can. I got the lobster which came with grilled bok choy and a baked potato. It was fine but the bok choy wasn't seasoned and was gross. The worst part was it took a good 30-40 minutes for our food to come out. We saw to-go orders rolling out the door but our food took way too long. The manager tried to brush it off. Checkout some of the other places in Mattituck and Cutchogue, but I'd skip the Crazy Fork.

Casual, no-fuss kind of place. *Amazing* seafood, excellent service, very easy going. We got a wide variety of dishes (steamers, mussels, clam chowder, lobster roll, scallops). Every dish was really, really good. My personal favorite was the thai-coconut mussels. Outstanding food!

Pretty disappoint with their lobster roll and flounder sandwich. Lobster was chopped too small and tasteless, the bun and fries are soggy. Flounder was super thin and dry and soggy. Fried oyster was okay New England clam chowder had too much flour so the sticky thick kind of soup. Soooo disappointed

Our party of 8 stopped by for dinner on a saturday night and Good Fork was able to sit us together. There was a good sized outdoor section but we opted to sit inside. We wanted to enjoy a fried seafood dinner before the beginning of fall really started. The seafood here was very good and everyone in our party enjoyed their food. Our table started with two fried calamari plates. The squid had great crunch. My fisherman's platter had ample amounts of nicely fried flounder, shrimp and scallops. The fish was tasty, the shrimp were a good size and the scallops were juicy. I was lucky enough to sample a few of the whole belly clams and they were delicious. It's tough to choose which was the better dish. You should just order both and enjoy the fried goodness. I also had a bite of the fish and chips and it good. I'm not sure what kind of fish they use but the fish was a nice golden brown whereas my flounder was more of an ale brown. Crazy Fork also has a nice beer selection. Half the offerings were craft beer with a couple from the Southampton Brewery. I suggest trying the Burton IPA, an English IPA. After a day of visiting a few wineries, some members of our group were more banged up than others but the staff here was really accommodating. I'm not talking sloppy beer and a shot drunk, more like a classy wine tasting drunk. Our servers were excellent and they put up with a spilled glass of water and a few dropped forks. Crazy fork is a chill seafood restaurant that I would recommend to anyone who happens to be in Mattituck.

If you are looking for a down-to-earth establishment where the staff are the main reason why you would return- this is the place to go! Madeline, our sweet server, greeted us enthusiastically when we arrived and recommended nearly everything on the menu as being "delicious." Coming from a local who claims to only eat at one other place when she goes out, I believed her. We got the Rhode Island style calamari - which were delicious, fresh, and served with slices of banana pepper, which was new to me. It added a nice little briny crunch to it, I enjoyed it. My husband got the lobster mac-n-cheese, which was served in a bread bowl and loved it. I got a mixed greens salad with a cup of the lobster chowder. Not for nothing, but I would come back strictly because of how sweet the service was. The food was good, and the non-pretentious feel is what I look for and will not forget!

Maureen the manager is very personable. The bartender M is a smiley face and pleasant service. I had the fish tacos. A plus. Lightly battered mango salsa. The mayo had a smokey chipotle flavor A no frills good food reasonably priced restaurant. My first visit here was the muscles. This is my second time here.

1st time for lunch. Cute place. Service good. Conversation behind counter included many f-bombs, not that I care so much, but it was noticeable. It was just okay & mostly because our fried calamari dish was pretty disappointing. There was no seasoning on the calamari itself & the marinara sauce was devoid of salt altogether. We swapped it for the remoulade dipping sauce which was so much better. But dipping sauce aside, the panko crumbs were very soggy & with a pasty flour texture. Not crisp, not slightly golden, just soggy.

I had placed 2 salmon take out orders which I had ordered medium rare. I did not check my order until I arrived to my destination, however both Salmons were well done and dry. I called and was told to come back in and dine and that the price of the two would be taken off the bill. I was pleased that the owner was courteous and apologetic. When we decided to go back to dine, my experience was just as dry. I don't know if I am willing to try this restaurant a 3rd time.

New England chowder, average Crab Cakes, good Lobster Roll, bland, average at best. Overall, average place. And that's all I have to say about The Crazy Fork

A friend and I stopped into The Crazy Fork for dinner. We were seated right away. Our server was friendly and gave us time to make our choices. I chose the mahi mahi with spicy salsa. Choices of sides include three kinds of fries (two of which were homemade), garlic mashed potatoes, or jasmine rice. I chose the rice. The fish was very good, attractively presented. The rice was exceptionally good, very flavorful. My meal also came with cole slaw, which was perfect, just not much of it in a tiny little paper cup. My friend chose the lobster roll, which she was craving, but it wasn't on their menu. They made it for her anyway, which I thought was a nice touch. It came with fries. The portions were so large, she couldn't finish it all. The Crazy Fork also serves a large variety of local beers and wines. It's a tiny place, but busy. Not bad price-wise, for Long Island.

I have ordered takeout two times, about a year apart, and the experience was bad both times. The staff is friendly, but the food is terrible. Fries are mushy, fish is overdone, breading falling off. Too many great seafood options to waste my $ here again.

Fantastic, so nice to find a real seafood place with no presumption but a great beer list. Food, especially the very fresh raw oysters and clams were just incredible! I even loved the cole slaw, served in the perfunctory little plastic cups.

We stopped by Crazy Fork for lunch today (July 6, 2015). We've wanted to try Crazy Fork, but generally couldn't get near the place during summer season; at least today, the restaurant was deserted. We tried the seafood gumbo and found it disappointing (bland, seemed to be artificially thickened). Fried whole belly clams were ok, but somewhat heavily breaded. My wife ordered the lobster taco, which turned out to be a spectacularly bad choice. Very little lobster, and mostly what appeared to be knuckle meat. At least by local standards (Love Lane Kitchen, Lobster Roll, etc) this was a very poor example of a lobster based dish. We'll give them a try again and update the review as necessary. Hopefully they will turn in a better performance when we stop by next time.

Nice little "hole in the wall" kind of place, not fancy, just nice food! Your basic pub fare, with also some great pub-type seafood. The lobster roll was also nice. A good selection of beers. The french fries were great, nice and crunchy. Prices are reasonable. Recommended!

Stick to the basics. The kitchen over reaches with more complicated fare and comes up short. Sometime less is more. Plastic plates and utensils in addition to serving soured local wine by the glass are added reasons to pass this place up. There are better options in the area that can showcase the area's bounty more skillfully.

I've decided to spend the summer of 2014 exploring the North and Southfork of Long Island's non fancy fresh quality seafood spots. It actually proved harder then I expected to find good classic New England fare. Withstanding the huge Italian- American influence throughout Long Island, I still felt there would be a more equal distribution. After an horrible food experience at Bouy One in Riverhead and Braun Seafood 2 go( the cooked food side) in Cutchohue, finally I tried the Crazy Fork in Mattituck. Finally fresh fried whole belly clams and the appetizer size was large for the price. The Lobster roll had their own take, very little mayo, not too much add ins like celery, lots of herbs, and tasty as well as the shoe string fries being perfectly crispy. Great beer selection and friendly staff. Just go and enjoy!

The Caribbean Jerk Mahi-Mahi is awesome! The Baked Clams was a great app also, went well with the Anchor Steam Beer. With the full array of beers to choose from, my wife had to drive when we left...

For me, good food requires good beer. The Crazy Fork has both. There a 4 craft brews on tap along with a really good beer and wine menu (full bar is coming!) and the selections are chosen with care. It's the only place local I can get Blue Point Toasted Lager, my fave. The specials vary weekly. Tonight I had shrimp in a bourbon sauce as an app. OMG But its not just fish- the burgers are awesome as well as the sandwiches on the to go menu. Finally, let's talk about dessert. I love the Key Lime Pie and the toasted Almond cake. Yum! My girl friend had the Tiramisu and said it was to die for. The waitresses are awesome- you feel like you have walked into the well known Cheers Bar- They all my name, but that could be because I practically live there:)

Small local seafood restaurant which has variety of fresh seafood menu and also beers, wine. It's not fancy but owner/chef greeted with warm welcome. Mushroom soup, fish and chips, fresh oysters and fish taco were our menu. Well prepared and tasty. I felt price were bit high but food was good. Have one bathroom for customers.

After having a few good experiences it's really disappointing to have a horrible one. The fish tacos were smothered in dressing with a less than fresh salsa. The crab cake was deep fried to a black crispy shell in the worst way. The entrees are served in a layered pile to hide the fact that the deep fried sub par fish is the foundation. I wouldn't go here again.

The positive reviews here are spot on. My g/f and I went to The Crazy Fork on our day on the North Fork of LI. Newsday had written up their lobster roll as one of the 10 best on LI. We arrived around 4:30 on Sunday. It was not crowded, but it was an off time. The place is little but very nice. There was a large assortment of wine and beer on the board. The chicken and shrimp gumbo soup was fantastic, not too spicy and very filling, even the small size. We both had the lobster roll. Newsday's reviews mentioned onion and I guess that is their take. Either way, it was yummy. The lobster was chopped and the hot dog roll was just ok. Perhaps a better or even toasted roll would improve it. But all in all, a very good time was had. As we left the locals were coming in and you could tell it was a very friendly and cozy place. I would definitely go back.

Cute little place! They have a few good beers on tap and a ton more in bottles. The food comes out on disposable plates, but it's way better than you might expect from knowing that. I actually think it contributes to the charm. I got the fish and chips (flaky and delicious) and I'd love to come back for some of the fancier dishes.
